Connor Pass & Tralee 6/21

Our trip back from Dingle took us through the amazing Connor Pass.  We stopped at a scenic overlook, and Eric decided to climb up the hill a ways.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  The clouds came in and out, but it was still amazing to see.  Oh yeah, and I finally got my first Sheep pictures!

After the little pull off on the Connor Pass, we fairly quickly came upon the little pull off for the waterfall mentioned in one of our guidebooks.  They mentioned a short five minute "scramble" up to a lake, so we climbed up!

We headed down the pass through all the twisties and crazy near one lane roads, and admired the rest of the views.  We stopped at Blennerville windmill that was not far from Tralee, as it was supposed to be a current working windmill (though it was closed and not running by the time we got there!)
Almost back from Tralee we ran into a very odd sight... cows walking down the roadway in the other lane!  A man on a bike with his dog was apparently "hearding" them, but the cows looked like they did this all the time!! lol.
We finally made it back to town, and decided to head out for dinner shortly.  We parked on Castle street and wanted to find Harty's restaurant/pub, as it was mentioned in a couple guidebooks.  We walked all of Castle street and didnt find it, so we headed back to Baily's which was mentioned in our B&B's guidebook.  We talked with the bartender, and he said they don't serve dinner, and that actually Baily's was Harty's.. they had combined a few months ago when the Harty's rent went way up!  He recommended we head to the Grand Hotel and just eat in their bar (The Pikeman Bar) as it was cheaper than their restaurant.  So we did.

And on Becca's recommendation, I tried a Jameson and Ginger Ale... perfect!!
We ordered dinner, Eric got the Mussels, I got the Beef Stew, my dad & Dennis ordered the Roast Beef.

For dessert we ordered Baked Alaska, Banoffie Pie (banana based), and lemon meringue pie.

After dessert & heading back to our B&B, my dad and Eric & I headed over to the bar in the nearby Ballygarry House Hotel to grab a couple of drinks :)
Another long but beautiful day!
