We returned, wet and tired to our B&B after the day's travels. We were cold and wet so I decided to make a hot chocolate!
Most of us were reasonably hungry, so we decided to meet in 45ish minutes to go find some dinner. Just as we arrived at 55 restaurant, we saw a rainbow settling in nearby!
We ordered our meals, and the other three got the 3 course meal, while I got the Seabass. Dad's appetizer - the fishcake definitely took home the gold. I could have ordered five of them then were so amazing! Our other dinners were excellent as well, definitely a place to recommend.
Following dinner, Dennis, my dad & I all decided to hit up the bar called Kiwi's right across the street from our B&B. It had a funky New Zealand theme, and they had some fun drinks, one called a capiraska (their take on a capirina) and another called a Thai Hoe. The Thai Hoe had a chili sambuca in it, so I wasnt brave enough to try that one first, but after a capiraska, I decided to ask about it. The bartender let me try a touch of the chili sambuca (I said I didnt normally like sambuca), and it was decent! So I ordered it... and another... and got talking with a local guy, John, at the bar who was great fun to talk to and even offered to buy me a drink... who was I to refuse, so... I had another Thai Hoe! Oh boy! Four of those later and I attempted to write this blog, but fell asleep in the guest lounge, where Eric came down and found me at 1am! Oops! Granted all of this was across many hours, but with a long day of walking in the rain, I was definitely done in by the Thai Hoe's!! Oh and Dennis had this really great Alchoholic Ginger Beer that I have to see if we can get in the states... it was amazing!!
