Portrush & Drumcliff 6/17

After the Thai Hoe's last night (see previous post!) I didn't make it up early enough to go for a run, but since I was ready by 8am, and breakfast wasn't until 8:30, I figured  I might as well start the day with a walk on the beach.  It was a bit cloudy by the time I walked out the door, but the weather held.
We said goodbye to our B&B hosts and headed out on the road for our journey to Ballaghaderreen.  We made a short stop at a gas station just to stretch and hit the bathrooms, and then decided to make a second stop in Drumcliff to check out WB Yeats's grave.  The entire drive was beautiful - dotted by castles, coastlines, hills and mountains. As we closed in on Duncliff, we saw the wonderment of the ben bullen seen here in my photo from the Drumcliff churchyard.
The church and graveyard were impressive as well, with some of the very very old crosses, and a beautiful organ inside the church.  It was worth the little detour.

As you can see from the photos, the weather changes every five minutes!!
